Xiao Hui Wang is the first one who created the concept of interdisciplinary art, a new art form of cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural. Over the two decades she is keep exploring and innovating her art. One important case of her interdisciplinary art is the big scale performance art project "10,000 Dreams", which was completed with 10,000 young people at the World Expo. China Art Power List awarded her the Crossover Art Award, and her book No Boundaries is the only crossover art monograph in China.

• First International Shanghai Digital Art Fair (SDAF)
Xiao Hui Wang Art Museum is constructed and offered by Shanghai city and entitled by the artist name, which is located in Changning district of downtown Shanghai. It is the first art museum focusing on photography, video, film, multimedia, digital art and so on in Shanghai, the earliest art institution to explore and practice digital art. Because of this advantage, in 2010 Xiao Hui Wang became as chief designer for the theme pavilion of Shanghai World Expo through an international competition.
The slogan of the museum defines as Art leads lifestyle and fashion, Creativity changes human life, Culture needs international exchanges, Interdisciplinary innovation creates future. it creates a trans-boundary cooperation platform for art, fashion, technology, design and lifestyle via interdisciplinary art innovation.
Entrusted by the national bases of international culture trade and copyright trade, the museum hosts and organizes Shanghai International Digital Art Fair, which now becomes an international platform to promote the development of digital art and digital industry.
The museum is cooperating with Inert Plan to establish metaverse art museum, which is the first physical museum on metaverse in Shanghai, realizing the interaction between reality and universe.
The museum has been engaged in art exchanges and projects internationally for a long time, for which the German government awarded Xiao Hui Wang the German-China Friendship Award. The "China @ the World" international art exchange program of the museum is aimed at young artists from home and abroad.

• Xiao Hui Wang Metaverse Art Museum
The first project of Xiao Hui Wang Art Center is the Shanghai World Expo theme pavilion when she returned to Tongji University for the establishment of her art center. Later on, she was invited by many cities to have a large number of urban art projects, for example, she serves as the consultant of Zhuhai city for urban art planing, designing large creative parks, and preparing for super large scale of Zhuhai Art Museum (70,000M2) and Dadi Art Festival. She defines these large-scale, integrated projects as "urban art."
Urban Art
Tongji International Media Art Center founded by Xiao Hui Wang in Tongji University is the first research institute for new media art in Chinese universities. She has made many large-scale original innovative media art projects for different cities, such as the large-scale interactive media installation in the theme pavilion of the World Expo, the light show of Datong Ancient City, the large-scale naked eye 3D performance in Nantong, etc. This year, she is appointed as the artistic director of the first Shanghai International Digital Art Fair, and her art museum becomes the organizer of SDAF.
Digital Art
Majoring in architecture and interior design at her early age, Xiao Hui Wang began her artistic career as a photographer and is highly praised by the international and domestic critics in the publishing and media circles. She is the only Chinese among the 62 photographers in the art history book “Master Pieces of Photography since 150 Years”edited by the authoritative publishing house Prestel in UK, USA and Germany. She is an honorary member of German Photography Design Association BFF, and won the Documentary Photography Award of Cologne International Photo Fair together with Nan Godin and other photographers, International Photographer of the Year by SMG and so on. Her photographic works are collected by German Langen Art Investment Fund and Switzerland Loubna Fine Art Investment Fund.
Photography
The publication of Xiao Hui Wang's autobiography, My Visual Diary, transformed her from an artist into a cultural celebrity and attracted the attention of people at different ages, especially women. The book has won three literary prizes, been published in eight editions by five publishing houses and reprinted 50 times, making it a rare best seller. This book became an important label for her, and make her well known to the public. Her lifestyle is followed by young fans, especially female readers, the media called her "youth idol".
My Visual Diary
Xiao Hui Wang has been engaged in international cultural exchange for a long time, and successfully hosted some influential cultural exchange activities between China and foreign countries. She has been entrusted by Shanghai and Hangzhou Municipal Governments to organize German artists to visit China. She is the ambassador of the Shanghai Pavilion at Frankfurt Book Fair and the ambassador of the sister cities between China and Germany. International brands such as BMW, Volkswagen, BASF and Grohe have entrusted her to organize international exchange activities and touring exhibitions. She has also represented Chinese artists in many international art festivals and biennials. The German government awarded her the German-China Friendship Award.

She has held dozens of solo exhibitions in many countries. Her art pieces have been collected by internationally renowned art institutions and collectors. She was recommended as the most collectible Chinese female artist by Harper's Bazaar. She has published more than 50 albums/books worldwide. Ms. Xiao Hui Wang, an interdisciplinary artist and a professor of Shanghai Tongji University, works and lives in Shanghai and Munich. Her early creations were mainly photography, however two decade ago she began to interdisciplinary artistic practice, covering photography, video, sculpture, design, new media art and writing etc.
Sullivan and Toubao Research Institute, an internationally renowned consulting organization, will jointly release China's first digital art copyright white paper with the organizing committee.The School of Creative Design of Tongji University, the organizing committee and other institutions will jointly release the meta-universe space-time search engine plan.The meta-universe forum will release and promote a series of meta-universe projects to promote the layout of the meta-universe in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Due to the possible uncertainty of COVID-19 control, SDAF breaks through the traditional mode of exhibition and combines updated comprehensive and thematic exhibitions. Xiao Hui Wang Metaverse Art Museum has been in preparation for a long time and will be opened in April this year at Omgland metaverse. The two co-founders are Artist Prof. Ms. Xiao Hui Wang and Prof. Mr. Xiao Guan Hong, director of the museum.
This will be the metaverse version of the opening exhibition of Xiao Hui Wang Art Museum “Dreamers”. Other activities, like a co-creative art program “Her Future” will be launched simultaneously at the metaverse museum.
Human cannot survive in the current ecological environment due to various reasons...Drifting bottles carry sustainable materials to another metaverse co-creation island. This co-creation island is located in the bottle row space on the horizontal plane. Up above is the future. Down below is the deep sea. As the only artist from Asia together with seven international outstanding figures in the field of art, including the director of Louvre Museum, the president of New York Academy of Arts, the chairman of Cartier Foundation and so on, she serves as the honorary committee member of the Van Cleef & Arpels Jewelry institute in France. She is the first Chinese artist to cooperate with the world's top luxury brand France Christofle and German Meissen. She served as the judge of Montblanc International Patron of the Arts Award for many years.

Xiao Hui Wang was a professional architect and interior designer, she won museum design award with her art museum in Suzhou by Berlin Architect Forum. This museum is designed by herself and her team, built according to international environmental standards. Supported by more than a dozen internationally renowned brands, the museum works together to spread out the concept of carbon neutrality and promote future eco lifestyle through public activities.
